wizards 'n witchcraft

my little maddy pie is turning 5 tomorrow but, since mark has to work this week, we celebrated his birthday yesterday with some family and a few friends. he is very into harry potter right now so it was a celebration full of magic, spells and little goblins.

{harry potter himself =)}
{madden was upset i wrote his name on the cake and not harry potter, what was i thinking?;)}
{the hogwart's castle was well worth the 4 hours it took mark to put it together.=)}
{yes, i seem to have taken a lot of pics of the cake but it was one of the best ones i've done. i almost couldn't cut it.}
{harry and luna lovegood.;)}
{alastair or "alastor moody" opening his treat bag by the golden snitch cake bites.}
{moaning myrtle}
{hermione granger~hogwart treats~harry and his most beloved food}
{class photo. not pictured: ron weasley aka maxer}
{thank you, my sisters for the help with games and food. the kids played pin the letter on hedwig's beak (thanks lauren) and did animal transfiguration with tim (dolores? huh?;)).
{professor mcgonagoll and the slytherin, crabbe.}

{chris angel mind freak (elliott) put on a magic show for us where he "hitminded" (as max calls it) andrea. it was adorable!}

{ro and rosie<3}
{somehow the parties always end up this way...}
{tim and i had a very intense game of "chest"....very intense.;)}

So kinda makes me not want to post Dane's Step Up 6 (hip hop) party...kinda blessing in disguise that he barfed once night before @ childcare so postponed until last sat o'mo. Not gonna lie, I'm pretty clueless when it comes to all things harry; however, looked pretty authentic to me:) home parties stress me out-good thing they only celebrate with friends on even years, but would much rather pay to take 'em somewhere than try to compete with my more creative friends & family-ugh!

This party felt very perfect. I don’t remember ever feeling this satisfied with a birthday party. By this, I mean that my experience attending this party almost exactly mirrored my experience reading the book all those years ago… I cannot wait to attend a Pitt's party again. It’s going to be spectacular. To imagine attending another Pitt's birthday is just too much because if it is anything like this (which it probably will be), it will be even more perfect.

Okay, Okay, this was slightly plagiarized from an actual Harry Potter movie review but I really did enjoy this party. My entire family has a golden snitch addiction now.

becky- they are probably not going to want me to do this for much longer. i have to take advantage before we start the laser tag b-day parties where they'll want me to stay out of the way.=(
