fill in the blank friday.

1.   I am looking forward to  the get aways we have planned (and the ones we don't)!  max being out of school (i want him with me.), good friends visiting, summer concerts, hiking weather, lunch outside, sun-dresses, flip flops, shorts with sweatshirts, the smell of sunblock, beaches and more beaches. (i could really go on for a while.)


2.  Something kind of embarassing that I still love anyway is  judge judy.  i can't help myself, sometimes i just have to watch.  it reminds me of polk county and i'm just waiting for the day that i see someone i know on there. 


3.  My favorite car is   a paid off one.=) my taste in cars changes with the weather but, if i had to pick a couple to put in writing... i like jeeps (they remind me of my young, carefree days),  the audi q7, my car (especially since i just got it detailed) and i like subarus (call me johnny) because the symbol has stars on it  & my sister used to have one that she would call "super roo" (roo is what my dad calls me.) after me. (and yes, that is the reason for my liking.)


4.  If I could pick one type of weather to live with for the rest of my life it would be summer weather. i love it. i feel it is the season that is best suited for messy people like myself; messy hair, clothes put on carelessly, wearing bathing suits all day long, tan/sunburned skin. also, it rains a lot in florida in the summer and i LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the rain!!


5.  My favorite thing to do after a bad/stressful day is  hot yoga (although, i haven't been lately=/)! that 90 minutes of sweating changes my life for at least 3 full days.  besides, it burns something like 800+ calories a session so i feel like i can eat a lot after, which is my second favorite thing to do after a stressful day. 


6.  This weekend i will be partying it up at my niece's 4th b-day party, saying goodbye to my mama, finishing  my classes for school (blah.), playing with my babies, perhaps catching up on these blog posts of mine, maybe a little trip to the home depot....not sure if i'll have enough time.;)


7.  If I were a color, I'd be  yellow because, it's my favorite and it's warm and soothing; and is the color of sunshine, wildflowers and happiness.

happy birthday my dearest nan! {my forever friend from long ago, diane.} okay, so it's a day late, but this wild heart of mine could not muster up the will to do it yester-me, yester-you, yesterday.  i know that wild heart of yours understands.  besides, you have been dragging on this birthday thing for far too long already, "call me back right when you get this, it's my birthday month."  {oh that nan. bless her heart, she's so crazy.;)}

i love you more than my vocubilary (vocabulary) allows me to express.  i love that we know each other beyond what we do or say, like sisters.   i love that childish, old soul of yours and your witch-like intuitions. i love that you are "so new york and then l.a. and every town along the way." {great song.}  i love when your latin-ness comes out when you get really mad.{ooo, child!} i love that you used to make fun of people who thought their dogs were like humans and now you do too. i love that you force me {yes, force.} to be a stronger person.  basically, i'm real glad you're in my life and i hope all the wishes in that little, dreamer heart of yours come true.  xxox

we took the boys for their first bowling experience last week, they had a ball.;)

madden also got some baseball practice time in with his daddy.

speaking of fish,  we saw some fish @ the aquarium while on madden's field trip for preschool.

the crazy cuteness that comes from their little mouths....

mad went to stay at his cousins' the other night leaving just max and i home.  i say to maxer, "it's just us, baby! what do you want to do? we can go see a movie or go get some ice cream." to which he replied, "oh, i didn't know this was going to be an us night...i just want to play the wii, you can do whatever you want."

mad saying love-ed for loved, "my class love-ed my show and tell." and bait-ed for beat, "i just bait-ed all the guys on super smash brothers."

max was lying with my sister, andy, and he was being really quiet. andy asked him what he was thinking about, max said, "i'm just caring about every family-mate i know, even you chacha." <3

max calls everyone a mate: classmate, family-mate, friend-mate....my little australian.=)

mad: "my dad is like 50 ft tall and has over a 100 muscles!"

madden, after little rowan exposed her underwear to him: "i only like to talk potty talk, i don't like to see it."

ken and i took the kids to see "born to be wild" on saturday in 3d.  skye had her arm stretched out trying to reach the animals the ENTIRE movie (as far as she could reach without spilling her popcorn, mind you.;))

when picking up max from school last week, he made a confession: "mom, there is a beautiful girl in my class." me: "what's her name?"  max: "taia. i just love her." me: "max, taia was on your soccer team. do you want to play soccer again?"  max:"uh...no." (not even the love a woman will get him back on that field.;)) madden: "i want to play soccer!"  max: "madden, no."  madden: "max, i want to play!"  max: "okay, fine. you can play, but taia's mine!"

at skye's nocturnal b-day party, the kids were playing a game where they were acting out different animals that we said.  someone said eagle and sadie got right into the yoga eagle pose. a girl after our very own hearts!

max was inviting a friend from school over and max and i were doing some planning when mad chimes in, "you have to say 'this is my brother, madden.' okay, max? that's what big brothers do, they meet their little brothers to their friends."

max to me: "you're the best mommy in the world." mad to me: "i think your mom is the best because she makes better cookies."  true, true maddy pie.

we brought madden's friend, brooks home from preschool to play.  when we got out of the car in the garage, i hear mad tell brooks very exuberantly, "this is our garage, you can find anything you want in here!" i believe a clean out is long overdue.
