blue.

it seems i have a bit of catching up to do. not so much for those of you that still take a gander at this blog (most already know), but for my  own memory keeping. so, i'll start with the most significant and most wonderful change in our lives, the addition of a new member of the family.
we found out in may that our little angel was a boy.  we were thrilled, none more than those brothers of his who had already planned to teach him all they know about football, soccer, legos, and video games.
we love our boy.

what could happen...

my darling, straight-out-of-a-book niece, skye marie, was having a terrible time trying to pull max away from his latest video game the other day.  she desperately wanted him to play outdoors with her, so, in true skye fashion, she drew him a picture illustrating the terrible, horrendous things that could occur should you decide to spend all of your time indoors.

if you choose this dangerous pastime, you could (according to skye marie):

"get caught in a fire!!
get caught in an earthquake!!
break a leg without anybody knowing!!
get kidnapped!!!!!
get shot!!

that's what would happen!
use my advice play outside with nature."

i must say, she was quite convincing...

desert rollers.

this little family took a quick trip to st. george a couple of months ago with a certain flat character.  we took mr. stanley to see the anasazi petroglyphs and to snow canyon. we love it in st. gee, mostly because it's one of mark's and madden's favorite place, and bc we stay at mark's parent's vacation house and it's nicer than our home.

colorful crazies.

we celebrated the beginning of spring at the holi festival of colors.  this year, the boys & i took my nieces, and we met up with one of my dearest girlfriends and her crew of hippies.  the krishna temple is a real beauty, it was the loveliest weather, and our bunch of crazy kids had the most colorful time.
