"and i'll send it along with love from me to you"

i know that this weekend is mother's day but i woke up this morning feeling very sentimental about my daddy (just call me brenda.;))
*my sweet, wonderful dad who is the most generous person i know. the man that gave our couches away one summer when the rest of us were in utah b/c someone needed them and we weren't using them.;) the man who, in my lifetime, has never traded a car in but given them away to friends, neighbors or employees who were struggling. and with 7 kids that was quite a few cars.=)
*my sweet, wonderful dad who taught me at very young age a love for music. some of my first memories were listening to the beatles and simon & garfunkel in the car with my dad. and him quizzing us on who sang what song.=)
*my sweet, wonderful dad who has never wanted us to go with out the "necessities" of life such as laptops, cameras, camcorders, shopping trips for his girls, powerwheels and "new" ds's (for his grandkids), and of course eating out.=)
*my sweet wonderful dad who always slips money in your purse when he drops you off at the airport even if you don't need it.
*my sweet, wonderful dad who would go out on christmas eve and buy a horse for his daughter that he thought was having a hard time. the man who would take me to the rodeos when i was going through my cowgirl stage. and to get a blue nehi and reese's cup after tae kwon do even though i was the reason every one had to do extra push ups.
*my sweet, wonderful dad who has most of the time been so proud of all of us and who sometimes can't stop himself from bragging about his kids and grandkids.=)

I am fighting back tears...happy mama's day Ken! so sweet, I love childhood memories, this reminded me of the time I didn't make the cheerleading squad in 7th grade and Eladio was trying so hard to make it all better, how awkward that must've been, what does a dad say?! lol!

oh, and i left out how he sat through 20+ years of dance recitals, countless swim meets, soccer and baseball games, and every kind of event the cheerleaders had to go to...which was a lot!=) love you dad!

lol! I remember him at our swim meets! oh...we were such great swimmers, we deserved those letters, that team would've been nothing without us!
