a moment of silence.

'tis the time of year that we remember a piece of me that was lost in a tragic accident with a rotary cutter just three years ago.  dear, little piece of my finger: you are still greatly missed.
{the blanket was well worth it, though. merry christmas to markus.}

on a serious note: we lost a dear member of our family yesterday, cozmo. the first grandbaby and the best dog ever.  i will miss him bed-hopping all night long to snuggle feet at chrismastime.

What?!!! The family dog died on Christmas?!!! You show us all these wonderful pictures filled with Christmas cheer and end it with the dog dying?

On another note, you shouldn't point out that you are missing part of your finger, people will not be able to quit staring at your finger when you are talking to them now.

I love all of the pictures! You have such a great family. I have had the honor of watching Max put together a Lego set in record time and it is impressive! And solving math problems while riding a scooter? That takes skill! Tell those boys I think they are pretty amazing, so are their cousin girls!

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Thank you Diane, same to you! Whatever happened to your June 2011 visit? Can we count on you in 2012?

It's a fact of life, tootie. I won't hide that finger in shame, the people need to know!

I think that fam of yours is pretty swell too. Yes, I do. =)

I don't need your sarcasm here, nann. Not from the likes of someone who hasn't even done their Christmas shopping yet. Scrooge.;)

Life is such a bore without sarcasm! Diane you really should move to the Great Salt Lake Valley...Oh The trouble us 3 could get ourselves into! Christmas shopping isn't quite as difficult if you just order everything online. I didn't even have to leave my house! Maranda, you worked your butt off as well as part of your finger for that gorgeous quilt. I commend your shameless spirit!
