children of the sun.

long ago {a month, i super suck.}, we took a little roadtrip to cali to see the utes play the trojans in a "historic game" {as mark kept putting it}, and to spend some time with our love, the ocean.  it was nice to come home with sun-kissed faces and to carry our summer on a little while longer {...some are still having a hard time letting it go. endless summer.}.

a sad ending, but the game was certainly not lacking in excitement. and it was very cool to see SO many ute fans there...and giving "u" signs all over the freeways.

[tim & keke]

in true pitts fashion, we waited until we were on the road to figure out the logistics of our venture. we were a little ways past vegas before we decided we should probably find a place to stay.

[the boys brought a few things from home.;)]

[the evidence of the photoshoot  mad & i had while walking to the store.]

[<3]
[we visited the acclaimed sprinkle bakery while there. i let megan know that they have nada on the sweet tooth.;)]
[max's idea.=)]

we spent every second we could spare {it rained a whole day.} near or in the f-f-freezing water of the great pacific-- jumping waves, building sandcastles, drawing sand art and soaking up those california rays.

[i always feel i need a wetsuit for this water. this florida girl much prefers her bathtub ocean water.]

[mad supposedly saw a shark in the water. keep in mind, this is also the same child who claimed to have seen christopher columbus at hobby lobby.;)]

[great job, babe.;)]

[love this green-eyed boy.<3]

[on the way home, we stopped to regroup and relax for a day in st. george. always so nice. thanks again for your home, mom and dad {pitts}!]
