bye bye lovely summer days.

the last days of summer are upon us, because max started school this week and madden starts on wednesday. {i'm not ready to talk about it yet.}  we have had a splendid summer full of family, friends, travels, sun and sea. i cannot complain. although, i am already starting to miss those long, lazy days of freedom....exploring the brilliant mountains, being in peaceful waters, reading captivating books with the sun on my back, camping out on the trampoline, watching great concerts on a blanket outside,  spending saturday mornings at the farmer's market and enjoying the {cheap} gorgeous flowers for days to come.  joy.

happy times with those i love most....

{after we returned from fL, we took a "staycation" up to park city to celebrate mark's b-day (which we missed and i have yet to do a post for....in due time.)}

 {we tried to brush up on our paddle boarding skills that were (semi) acquired last year.}

 {.....twas a fun time spent forty minutes away from home.}

{i took mad in mark's place to the brandi carlile concert. his favorite song was her "i keep it to myself" ("dreams";)) song at the time, so it just seemed right. he had a ball dancing and passing out glow sticks to the other kids, even max felt a smidgen of remorse for not coming along.}
 {heart set, he's already picked out a leash.=)}

Were you just a little bit tempted to give the stilts a slight nudge?

Oh maren, that braid and I almost had a brawl. I changed my mind about it when I got there and by then my hair was already a braid crimp and I had to redo it in the car. Long, boring story short-- it looked much better the first time.

Tay- fine, you talked me into it.;)

Kat!! Hopefully real, real soon! I'll try to do better by she & hims. Give precious Henry a kiss for me. happy is his home, I just know it.=)

Dee- of course I was. It's the same feeling I get when a cyclist is riding the line. (oh v, I hope you didn't hear that.;))

Well I did hear that! And I would probably be offended if I had taken my bike out more than the 5 times I have since I bought it. Those kinds of things always seem so much cooler in my head!
